2012 Toyota Camry Daytona 500 Pace Car

September 22nd, 2011 By nicole Toyota will introduce the new Camry - the best selling car in America for nine consecutive years - at Daytona in 'The Great American Race,  "February 26, 2012. The annual race kicks off the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

What will go on sale this fall we knew when the opportunity arose to partner with Daytona would be an extraordinary way to highlight our new Camry, as well as strengthen Toyota's commitment to NASCAR and its fans.  "Toyota Camry went on sale in 1983 and since then more than nine million were sold in the U.S. Camry was the best selling car in America for 13 of the last 14 years. This is only the second time a car has been a pace import into the Daytona 500.

The only other time was in 1971 when a Porsche 914 race pace. Import is not the right word for the Toyota Camry. The Camry was built in the United States for 25 years and has been the best selling car in 13 United States during the past 14 years. Toyota of Naperville know as America, and the great state of Illinois love the Camry and we are very excited about him winning this honor. Since 1983, the Toyota Camry, has sold over nine million units in the U.S.

Toyota began manufacturing the car in Georgetown, Kentucky, in 1986, and now the vehicle is built in Lafayette, Indiana. Toyota is very excited about the honor and hopes that the public is ready for the premiere of the largest Camry yet. In a field event that has a constant number of Pontiacs, Buicks, Chevrolets, Fords, and many others born in the U.S. auto makers, the decision to choose the 2012 Camry, the official pace car of the Daytona 500 in 2012 is a testament to the Japanese growing influence maker in the world of stock car in the U.S..
